Here is more details about our wedding day, May 13, 2000.
Here is the chapel where the ceremony will be:
| THE MARTHA - MARY CHAPEL (4:00 PM):
Built in 1940 by Henry Ford in memory of his mother-in-law and mother, this
non-denominational, non-sectarian chapel is one of the six that Henry Ford had built in
the
U.S. Here it was offered as a daily chapel for the Wayside Inn Boy's school, the
Redstone school
house and the South West school. It is now the site of many weddings and special events,
including ours!!
The wood used to build the chapel came in part from pine trees that once grew where the
chapel now stands. During the hurricane of 1938 many trees on that spot blew down, and
Henry Ford put them to good use.
